McDonald’s to Launch New McValue Menu Starting in January

McDonald’s has unveiled its new value menu, the McValue, set to launch nationwide on January 7, 2025. This initiative aims to offer customers more affordable dining options amid rising food prices.

The McValue menu will feature popular items such as the $5 Meal Deal, exclusive in-app promotions, and local food and drink offers. A standout feature is the “Buy One, Add One for $1” deal, which allows customers to purchase one full-priced menu item and add another of their choice for just $1. This offer applies to various breakfast, lunch, and dinner items.

Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA, stated that the company is committed to providing customers with ways to enjoy their favorite meals at lower prices. “When it comes to value, we know there’s no one-size-fits-all,” he said. He emphasized that McDonald’s has collaborated with franchisees to create a platform that enables customers to define value according to their preferences.

The Buy One, Add One for $1 breakfast options include:

  • Hash Browns

For lunch and dinner, customers can choose from:

Additionally, the $5 Meal Deal, which consists of a choice between a McDouble® or McChicken® sandwich, small fries, a 4-piece Chicken McNuggets®, and a small drink, will continue through the summer of 2025. This deal was initially introduced in June and has proven popular among customers.

Cory Watson, a McDonald’s Owner/Operator and National Value Chair for 2025, noted that franchisees are attentive to customer feedback regarding affordable meal options. He stated, “No matter the city or the state, they’re telling us how important it is for them to find their favorite meals at affordable prices.”

Local deals may vary as franchisees determine their own pricing strategies. The introduction of the McValue menu reflects McDonald’s ongoing efforts to adapt to consumer needs in an increasingly competitive fast-food market.
