Burger King is launching a special promotion to celebrate its Million Dollar Whopper Contest by offering one million Whoppers for just $1 each. This offer will be available starting November 12 for members of the Royal Perks loyalty program. The initiative is a way for the fast-food chain to express gratitude to fans who participated in the contest, which invited customers to submit their dream Whopper creations.
The Million Dollar Whopper Contest began earlier in 2024 and attracted over one million entries. Participants had the chance to create their ideal Whopper for a chance to win a $1 million prize and see their burger sold in restaurants across the country. After careful consideration, Burger King has selected three finalists.
Beginning on November 14, customers will be able to try these three fan-created Whoppers at Burger King locations nationwide. The finalists include:
Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper: This burger features a flame-grilled beef patty topped with pickle ranch sauce, fried pickles, bacon, Swiss cheese, and lettuce, all served on a sesame seed bun.
Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper: Inspired by Southwestern flavors, this Whopper includes a beef patty topped with maple bourbon barbecue sauce, crispy onions, jalapeños, maple candied bacon, and American cheese on a sesame seed bun.
Mexican Street Corn Whopper: This unique creation features a beef patty topped with spicy queso, creamy sweet corn spread, lettuce, tomato, and tortilla crisps on a sesame seed bun.
After tasting the finalist burgers, customers can vote for their favorite by scanning a QR code found on the burger wrappers.
This voting process will help determine which burger will win the $1 million grand prize.
In addition to this promotion, McDonald’s recently introduced its own twist on a classic item. The Chicken Big Mac has been rolled out nationwide after previously being available only in select international locations and during a limited run in Miami two years ago. The Chicken Big Mac replaces the traditional beef patties with two breaded chicken patties while retaining the iconic Big Mac sauce, cheese, lettuce, and pickles on a sesame seed bun.
