KFC has officially launched its new Original Recipe Tenders, featuring a double hand-breaded coating seasoned with the chain’s signature blend of 11 herbs and spices. These tenders will be available fried and ready to serve.
As part of the promotion, customers can purchase a value box containing three tenders, Secret Recipe Fries, and a choice of two signature sauces for just $5.
In addition to individual meal options, KFC is introducing family meal deals and a series of daily specials exclusive to KFC Rewards members. From October 19 to October 31, 2024, members can take advantage of 13 days of special offers, highlighting the new Original Recipe Tenders alongside other KFC favorites.
Catherine Tan-Gillespie, KFC’s Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Development Officer, stated, “We know consumers crave bold flavor, and chicken tenders are a familiar favorite. That’s why we’re proudly proclaiming the deliciousness of our new tenders seasoned with our secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices. With an unbeatable $5 deal, we believe our new tenders are poised to win the chicken tender battle.”
KFC is also introducing two new sauces: Comeback Sauce, described as “creamy and zesty,” and Sticky Chicky Sauce, which offers a sweet and tangy flavor profile. Customers can additionally choose the smoky KFC Sauce for their meals.
To complement the new tenders, KFC is rolling out Cherry Pie Poppers, featuring warm cherry pie filling inside flaky pastry, and a refreshing Cranberry Lemonade.
In a strategic marketing move, KFC plans to give away free Original Recipe Tenders on October 17, 2024, in select cities such as Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Atlanta. This surprise giveaway aims to directly challenge competitors while attracting potential customers.
Additionally, in August 2024, KFC expanded its Saucy Nuggets lineup by introducing three new flavors across the U.S.: Honey Garlic, Chipotle Ranch, and Mango Habanero, which join the existing flavors of Korean BBQ and Honey BBQ.
