Burger King is set to open a new location in Seven Hills, Ohio, three years after closing its previous restaurant at 7677 Broadview Road.
This development has been welcomed by local officials, including Mayor Anthony D. Biasiotta, who expressed relief at the prospect of replacing the long-vacant site.
“I’m happy we’re going to see the light at the end of the tunnel removing this eyesore,” Biasiotta stated. He noted that the property has been in various states of disrepair since its closure. The ownership has recently shifted back to corporate Burger King, leading to productive discussions about the new store’s design.
The upcoming location will feature Burger King’s latest “Sizzle” concept. This design includes a 3,000-square-foot space with a warm and inviting décor, seating for 40 customers, and modern conveniences like in-store mobile ordering and a double drive-thru for quick pickups. The architectural firm overseeing the project is CBC Design, based in Akron.
Gary Rouse, a site engineer with CBC Design, confirmed that the existing building will be demolished to make way for the new structure and site improvements. He anticipates that construction will begin in late spring, taking approximately three months to complete, with a projected opening by mid-summer.
Mayor Biasiotta also mentioned that because the new Burger King will be located within the Meijer parking lot, easement approval is necessary before demolition can commence. He expressed optimism about the project, stating, “We know that our development partners are eager to get this going and the city is confident it will happen.” While he acknowledged that this restaurant may not be a major economic driver, he emphasized that any investment in Seven Hills signals positive growth for future investors.
