The Wendy’s Company has announced the opening of its 160th restaurant in India, located in BTM Layout, Bengaluru. This milestone was achieved in just 36 months, with Rebel Foods serving as the master franchise holder for Wendy’s in the country. Dana Calvert, Wendy’s Chief International Development Officer, led the opening ceremony, highlighting the brand’s commitment to growth in India.
The new restaurant adds to Bengaluru’s growing number of Wendy’s locations, which now exceeds 20. Customers can enjoy dine-in services at both the MG Road and BTM Layout restaurants. The BTM Layout location features Wendy’s Global Next Gen design, emphasizing a digital-first approach with self-ordering kiosks and seating for over 50 guests.
Rebel Foods recently celebrated another opening at Logix Mall in Noida, attended by E.J. Wunsch, Wendy’s President for International. Wunsch expressed excitement about expanding Wendy’s presence in India, noting that this partnership allows them to serve fresh food to customers where they live and work.
Jaydeep Barman, Co-Founder and CEO of Rebel Foods, emphasized their goal of making Wendy’s accessible to more consumers across India. He stated that their expansion plans aim to establish Wendy’s as a leading burger choice in the country.
Wendy’s menu in India features a mix of signature items and local favorites. Notable offerings include the OG Spicy Aloo Crunch Burger and the newly introduced Chimichurri Burgers, which are inspired by Argentinian flavors and available in vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The brand continues to innovate with items like the iconic Frosty dessert.
Looking ahead, Rebel Foods plans to open more dine-in restaurants across Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad while also expanding delivery services. Currently operating in cities such as Tiruppur, Mysore, and Nagpur, Rebel Foods aims to add several dozen new locations by December.
