Customers can enjoy a free donut from Krispy Kreme by simply making a purchase at McDonald’s and presenting their receipt. This promotion runs through October 14 at participating Krispy Kreme locations across the country.
Starting October 15, Krispy Kreme will begin offering its popular Original Glazed donuts at select McDonald’s locations in Chicago. This initiative is part of a broader plan to introduce Krispy Kreme products to McDonald’s restaurants nationwide by the end of 2026. The partnership aims to have fresh donuts available daily at over 1,000 McDonald’s locations by the end of this year, with a goal of expanding to 12,000 locations by 2026.
While the specific reason for launching in Chicago has not been disclosed, customers in the area will be able to choose from three donut varieties: Original Glazed, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, and Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled.
As Krispy Kreme rolls out its donuts, McDonald’s is also promoting its new Chicken Big Mac. However, customer feedback has been mixed.
Some diners feel the sandwich does not match its online appearance or flavor expectations. Others have expressed interest in a spicy version.
If the Chicken Big Mac fails to impress, the collaboration with Krispy Kreme may help McDonald’s regain customer interest.
Meanwhile, some patrons are considering ordering late-night pizza from Domino’s to complement their fast-food experience.
Domino’s recently announced the return of its “Emergency Pizza” promotion, which offers a free medium two-topping pizza with any online order or digital carryout when customers spend $7.99 or more.
This promotion is available until January 19, 2025, and must be redeemed within 30 days through a Domino’s rewards account.
