Taco Bell is bringing back two popular menu items for a limited time, starting October 10. The Double Decker Taco and the Double Decker Taco Supreme will be available nationwide until October 30.
The Double Decker Taco consists of a crunchy taco filled with seasoned beef, shredded lettuce, and cheddar cheese, all wrapped in a soft tortilla filled with warm refried beans. The Supreme version includes diced tomatoes and reduced-fat sour cream.
These tacos were last offered briefly in December 2023. Originally introduced in 1995, the Double Decker Taco became a permanent menu item in 2006 but was discontinued in 2019, disappointing many fans. In 2022, Taco Bell allowed customers to vote for a discontinued item to return; the Enchirito won over the Double Decker Taco.
The Double Decker Taco is priced at $2, while the Supreme version costs $2.69. Last year, they were priced at $2.99 and $3.69, respectively.
In addition to these tacos, Taco Bell will test a new item called Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas in Minneapolis starting October 31. This dish features marinated chicken inspired by the Mexican al pastor style, wrapped in cheesy shells and topped with onions and cilantro.
Moreover, Taco Bell recently launched its Disha Hot Sauce, created in collaboration with singer-songwriter Omar Apollo.
Customers can purchase this smoky hot sauce for $0.20 per packet or as part of a Disha Hot Discovery Box for around $8.99, which includes several popular menu items.
Fans are encouraged to visit Taco Bell soon to enjoy these returning favorites before they disappear again on October 30.
