McDonald’s is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the iconic sitcom Friends with a special adult Happy Meal, but there’s a catch: it is only available in Spain.
While it remains uncertain if this themed Happy Meal will be offered in the United States, fans in Spain have already seen promotional clips featuring collectible figurines of characters Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Joey, and Chandler. The 45-second video shared on McDonald’s Spain’s YouTube channel parodies the show, showcasing customers resembling the cast ordering their meals at a location designed to look like Central Perk, the famous coffee shop from the series.
According to Deadline, the Happy Meal includes a choice of a Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, McRoyal Deluxe, CBO (Cheddar, Bacon, Onion), or McChicken, along with fries and a drink. A unique addition is “Monica’s Marinara,” a specially created sauce for this promotion.
The figurines are designed to reflect key traits of each character: Monica wears her chef’s outfit, Rachel sports her iconic hairstyle, Phoebe plays her guitar, Ross has slicked-back hair, and Joey and Chandler hold their pet duck and chick.
