CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) — Chick-fil-A is set to open a new restaurant in Cedar Rapids this Thursday, October 10, 2024.
The new location will open at 6:30 a.m. at 3241 Blairs Ferry Road NE.
The restaurant will feature a dine-in area and a drive-thru, which includes a lane for customers to pick up orders placed in advance. This new Chick-fil-A is expected to create approximately 110 jobs in the community.
This will be the third Chick-fil-A in the Cedar Rapids area, joining existing locations on Edgewood Road SW and Collins Road NE.
Local Ownership
Amgad Zaghloul has been appointed as the independent franchised owner and operator of the Cedar Rapids location. “I have had the honor of calling Cedar Rapids home for the past 25 years,” Zaghloul said in a news release. “It’s where my kids were born and where I’ve built lifelong friendships.”
Community Contributions
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A will provide free entrées for a year to 100 local heroes who are making a positive impact in their community. Additionally, the company has donated $25,000 to HACAP to support local hunger relief efforts.
Chick-fil-A emphasizes community involvement and aims to make a difference beyond just serving food. The new restaurant will also participate in initiatives that help feed those in need.
As Chick-fil-A continues to expand its presence in Iowa, it remains committed to serving quality food while positively impacting local communities.
