The White Township Planning Commission approved the final site plan for a new KFC restaurant on Tuesday. This establishment will be located along Oakland Avenue, specifically between AutoZone and MedExpress.
The proposed Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant will cover 1,678 square feet. The commission unanimously approved the plan, which includes final reviews of stormwater and sewer management systems.
Township Manager Chris Anderson praised developer Quick Service Realco, LLC for their efficiency in bringing the plan to approval.
While representatives from MDM Surveyors and Engineers did not provide a specific opening date, they expressed hopes that the restaurant will open by spring or summer of next year.
Update on Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance
In addition to the KFC approval, the Planning Commission received an update on the township’s Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance from HRG. The update included minor adjustments to the application process and terminology.
Anderson noted that while a few edits are necessary, the changes to the ordinance will be minimal.
