ROCKFORD, MI — Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to open a new restaurant near U.S. 131 and 10 Mile Rd. NE in Rockford on Monday, September 30.
The new location will feature a drive-thru pick-up lane and will operate daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
“We’re always looking for new communities where we can serve responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food and establish local partnerships, and the Rockford area is a great fit,” said Annie Gradinger, a spokesperson for the California-based chain.
The restaurant will be located at 2887 10 Mile Rd. NE in Algoma Township. It will join several other Chipotle locations in West Michigan, including those in Grand Rapids, Grandville, Kentwood, Holland, and Norton Shores.
Situated within a multi-tenant retail building just east of U.S. 131, the new Chipotle shares space with Jersey Mike’s Subs and Meadow Creek Dental Care. The building is located between a Sherwin-Williams paint store and a Taco Bell at the intersection of 10 Mile Road and Meadow Creek Drive.
Before construction began, the site was vacant.
In conjunction with the opening, Chipotle announced it is hiring for the Rockford location and other restaurants across the U.S. The company plans to create about 30 jobs per location, offering competitive benefits that include:
A crew bonus that allows employees to earn an extra month’s pay each year.
A debt-free college degree program and English as a second language classes.
Access to mental healthcare for employees and their families.
Chipotle is committed to expanding its presence while providing quality food and job opportunities in local communities.
