Taco Bell enthusiasts are expressing their frustration after a customer shared alarming price hikes for popular menu items.
A Reddit user recently highlighted the “crazy price increase,” noting that their favorite, the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, now costs $6.99. The Doritos Cheesy Gordita Crunch – Nacho Cheese is priced at $7.29. The user questioned, “Does this seem insane to anyone else? This is no longer an affordable meal when I’m trying to save money.”
The customer, who lives in New York City, mentioned that these prices were for pickup orders, while delivery prices were slightly lower. Taco Bell’s website lists these items at $5.19 and $5.69, respectively, without specifying a location.
Many fans echoed this sentiment in the comments. One popular response stated, “These were insanely priced at $5. This is just idiotic.” Another user remarked, “Ouch! I wouldn’t even consider getting those at that price point. $5 is already too expensive. But $7+?! That’s a hard pass!”
Others described the pricing as “absurd” and “highway robbery.”
Despite the rising costs, Taco Bell continues to attract customers with new menu items, including the Disha Hot sauce and the return of the Caramel Apple Empanada for a limited time. Over the summer, they also introduced Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato.
As fans voice their concerns about affordability, many are left wondering how Taco Bell will respond to this backlash and whether prices will stabilize in the future.
