GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) — Power outages in Upstate South Carolina are impacting McDonald’s distribution systems.
Tim Tempany, son of the owner of the McDonald’s on Pelham Road in Greenville, explained that the distribution system relies on the number of restaurants that have power and can remain open.
He noted that if only a few locations are operational, McDonald’s will not supply additional food to those restaurants.
The Pelham Road McDonald’s is one of the few still open in the Upstate area. Tempany mentioned that they are sourcing food from other McDonald’s locations that lack power but still have functioning freezers.
