A family of six has found a clever way to enjoy a meal at Chick-fil-A for just $14.50. Josh and Callie Mileham, known for their food hacks, shared their strategy in a TikTok video that has garnered over 651,000 views.
In the video, Josh asks a Chick-fil-A cashier how much a bun costs. When informed it is 25 cents each, he orders three buns along with a 30-piece chicken nugget meal. He notes, “At Chick-fil-A, you can get chicken nuggets, and a bun is only 25 cents each.”
The video then shows Josh in the car with Callie and their children.
Callie suggests making a Chick-fil-A sandwich for one of their kids by placing five chicken nuggets and sauce inside a bun. She explains that this method might be better because it offers a better crispy-to-chicken ratio.
Callie points out that ordering the 30-piece nuggets for $14.50 allows them to make six sandwiches, which is much cheaper than buying six individual sandwiches that would cost around $42.
The cost of the 30-piece nuggets may vary by location, but for the Milehams, it was under $15.
Inspiring Other Families
The Milehams often share budget-friendly meal ideas for large families on their TikTok account, which has over 67,000 followers. In previous videos, they have shown how to spend only $30 at IHOP, $28 at Cheesecake Factory, and $24.46 at Panda Express.
While some viewers have criticized the couple for not providing enough food for their children, Callie reassured them that their kids are well-fed. She explained that these hacks help save money and reduce food waste.
“After spending a lot on food that went to waste, we learned to share meals or order specific sauces and sides that we can’t recreate at home,” she said. “It’s okay to share plates at restaurants, especially when portions are large! This is a great way for larger families to eat out without spending too much.”
Many viewers praised the Chick-fil-A hack as one of their favorites from the Milehams. Comments included:
“Y’all popped off with this one.”
“I like the nugs better; this is GENIUS.”
“As a mom of six kids, I appreciate this hack SO MUCH!! Like $50 worth of appreciation.”
“Going to have to do this. We love Chick-fil-A, but $70 later? No thank you.”
The Milehams continue to inspire families with their creative and cost-effective dining solutions.
