The fast-food chain Carl’s Jr. has permanently closed its Armstrong Creek location, known for its flame-grilled burgers. This closure follows the company’s administration announcement in July, which hinted at difficulties for its stores across the state. Despite the challenges, the Armstrong Creek site on Torquay Road continued to operate for several months after the announcement.
As of last night, the restaurant was dark, with a sign posted on the door stating it was “closed due to circumstances beyond our control.” The Facebook page for the location, which had promoted its breakfast menu just a day earlier, now indicates that it is “Permanently Closed.”
Additionally, the restaurant’s listing on Uber Eats has been removed.
So far, there has been no official statement from the Carl’s Jr. Armstrong Creek location regarding this closure. The future of other Carl’s Jr. locations remains uncertain. Since entering administration, the company has not provided further updates.
KPMG’s David Hardy, George Georges, and Emily Seeckts were appointed as administrators for CJ’s Group, the master licensee for Carl’s Jr. in Australia.
CJ Group previously operated 24 Carl’s Jr. franchises in Victoria.
Reports suggest that 25 independent locations are unaffected by the administration process. The Armstrong Creek site was independently run and locally owned.
