Chick-Fil-A is moving forward with plans to open a new restaurant in the town of Sweden, having recently finalized the purchase of property for $1.4 million. The site, located at 4871 Lake Road, was previously occupied by a Citizens Bank branch that closed in 2021.
The building spans 3,810 square feet and is situated at the intersection of Routes 19 and 31. The property was owned by a California-based entity, 4871 Lake Road, LLC.
The development is being managed by Matt Lester of Caliber Commercial Brokerage, based in Rochester. The Sweden planning board approved the project in June.
This new location will be the fourth Chick-Fil-A in the Rochester area, joining existing restaurants in Greece, Henrietta, and Irondequoit.
In addition to the Sweden site, Lester and Caliber are also planning another Chick-Fil-A in Penfield. This upcoming restaurant will be built in a former gymnastics training center that they purchased in November 2022. Approval from the town is still required before development can begin.
