In celebration of National Cheeseburger Day, McDonald’s is rolling out a special deal: Double Cheeseburgers for just 50 cents. This promotion will be available on September 18 only.
Customers can access this offer through the McDonald’s mobile app, which allows them to purchase one cheeseburger at the discounted price. The app will automatically apply the discount at checkout when users place their orders.
This year marks the second consecutive time McDonald’s has celebrated National Cheeseburger Day with this promotion.
Alongside this deal, the fast-food chain announced that its popular $5 Meal Deal will remain available until December. This meal includes a choice of a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, a four-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries, and a soft drink.
The initiative comes as part of McDonald’s strategy to compete with similar value offerings from other fast-food chains, including Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendy’s, and Popeyes.
Wendy’s is also joining in on the festivities by offering a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger for just 1 cent with the purchase of another menu item.
This deal is available through the Wendy’s app or website from September 18 to September 22.
Additionally, Burger King will give away free cheeseburgers to members of its Royal Perks rewards program who make a purchase of $1 or more on National Cheeseburger Day.
As fast-food chains continue to adapt to changing consumer preferences amid inflation, these promotions aim to attract customers looking for budget-friendly dining options.
