McDonald’s has teamed up with Crocs for a new Happy Meal collaboration, surprising fans with another unique offering.
After the success of their Grimace slides, the fast-food giant and the popular footwear brand have partnered once again to create a Crocs Happy Meal.
According to the Instagram food news account @snackolator, the Crocs Happy Meal includes Crocs Clips, which are miniature keychains inspired by the iconic Crocs shoes. These keychains come in 10 different designs and are packaged in tiny Crocs boxes. While these items have already been released in a few countries, the number and design of the keychains may vary when the Happy Meal arrives in the U.S. “@snackolator confirmed in an Instagram post that the Crocs Happy Meal will definitely be available in the U.S. soon.”
In addition to the keychains, the Happy Meal features a Crocs-branded box and comes with stickers, making it a playful twist on McDonald’s classic offering.
While many are excited about the collaboration, some wonder if it strays from the traditional audience of Happy Meals: children. One Instagram user commented, “I’d be sad as a kid to receive this. I miss when they used to give actual toys like those electronic game ones.” Others expressed nostalgia for past Happy Meal toys, like Beanie Babies and Barbie dolls.
However, with the current trend of bag charms and accessories like Crocs Clips being popular among younger generations, it’s likely that many kids will enjoy this new offering.
The Crocs Happy Meal is currently available in Singapore and other international markets, though there’s no official release date for the U.S. yet.
