Burger King is launching a new beverage to help customers beat the summer heat – Frozen Pink Lemonade. This deliciously sweet and tart frozen drink will be available nationwide starting August 29.
To celebrate the new offering, Burger King has partnered with Paramount and MTV to make Frozen Pink Lemonade the official frozen drink of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). Pat O’Toole, Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King North America, expressed excitement about this collaboration, stating, “This marks the fifth year in a row that we’ve partnered with Paramount and MTV, and the first time we’re introducing a product inspired by the VMAs – our new Frozen Pink Lemonade. We’re excited to be the frozen drink of the VMAs – a drink that’s just as cool and vibrant as the show itself, and I can’t think of a better venue to showcase our new drink for music and BK fans alike.”
To further promote the drink, Burger King is offering two special events:
VMAs Block Party: On September 8, from 12-5 PM ET, Burger King will host a block party at Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Attendees can try the new Frozen Pink Lemonade, receive an iridescent Burger King crown, and participate in a Burger King and MTV co-branded giveaway (while supplies last).
VMAs: On September 11, the night of the VMAs, the Frozen Pink Lemonade will be available at a pop-up in New York’s UBS Arena, allowing guests to sample the drink before the show.
Additionally, Burger King Royal Perks members can enjoy a free small Frozen Pink Lemonade with any purchase of $1 or more in the BK app from August 29 to September 11.
Burger King and MTV have also collaborated on a 75-second short film featuring multi-platinum Grammy award-winning artist Sean Paul and the world-renowned dance duo Les Twins. The film, inspired by the refreshing qualities of the Frozen Pink Lemonade, will premiere during the live broadcast of the VMAs on September 11.
With its vibrant color, refreshing taste, and exciting promotions, Burger King’s new Frozen Pink Lemonade is sure to be a hit with customers looking to cool down this summer while celebrating the VMAs.
