Taco Bell has officially launched its Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato across the United States as part of the “Bajaversary” celebration, marking the 20th anniversary of its signature tropical soda. The gelato made its debut on September 3 and is exclusively available to Taco Bell rewards members who order through the app.
The tropical lime-flavored gelato was first tested last summer at a Taco Bell location in Irvine, California, where it quickly sold out. Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s global chief food innovation officer, expressed excitement about this new offering, stating, “This is the first time we are releasing a gelato, and we are so excited to hear how fans enjoy the sweet and creamy indulgence.”
The Baja Blast Gelato is infused with the distinctive flavor of Mountain Dew Baja Blast. Customers can order a maximum of four gelato cups per transaction, but the treat is not available for delivery.
In addition to the gelato, Taco Bell is offering a special promotion for rewards members. From 2 PM to 5 PM daily, members can purchase a medium Baja Blast fountain drink or a regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze for just $1 until the end of 2024.
To further celebrate the Baja Blast anniversary, Mountain Dew has launched a unique promotion for travelers. Anyone crossing into the Mountain Time Zone can receive a free 20 oz. Mountain Dew by registering at WelcometoMTNTime.com.
With the introduction of Baja Blast Gelato, Taco Bell continues to innovate and expand its menu offerings, promising fans more exciting Baja Blast products in the future, including a Baja Blast Pie set to launch later this year.
