Subway is joining the value menu battle by significantly reducing the price of its footlong sandwiches for a two-week period. Starting August 26 through September 8, customers can order any footlong sub on Subway’s menu for just $6.99.
This promotion marks a substantial discount, as footlong prices at Subway typically range from $10 to $14, excluding any add-ons. The offer is available exclusively through the Subway App or Subway.com, with customers needing to enter the promo code “699FL” to activate the deal.
Doug Fry, President of Subway North America, acknowledged the financial strain faced by many diners today, stating, “Today’s diner is stretched more than ever, and too often that means a tradeoff on quality, variety or flavor to find an affordable meal.” He emphasized that Subway’s menu offers footlongs suitable for every budget, and this new deal allows customers to enjoy their desired sandwiches at a great value.
The promotion encompasses all 22 chef-crafted subs in the Subway Series, as well as any custom sub made with the chain’s variety of ingredients. Customers can also take advantage of recently introduced menu items such as lavash-style flatbread, returning sauces like Creamy Sriracha and Cheddar Cheese, and the debut of the SubKrunch topping.
Subway’s move to slash footlong prices comes as fast-food restaurants aim to win back customers who have become increasingly price-sensitive due to inflation. Other chains, such as McDonald’s and Burger King, have also introduced value meal offerings in recent months to attract inflation-weary consumers.
The $6.99 footlong deal is Subway’s latest effort to provide value and variety to its customers without compromising quality.
The promotion is expected to drive traffic to Subway restaurants and online ordering platforms during a challenging economic period for the fast-food industry.
