Dramatic Video Captures Chick-fil-A Employee’s Heroic Effort Against Armed Intruder.
A recent video has surfaced showing a Chick-fil-A employee bravely battling an armed intruder at a Stone Mountain, Georgia, restaurant. The intense confrontation lasted over four minutes.
Police have since arrested Tommie Lee Williams, 51, in connection with the incident. The arrest followed an early morning break-in at the Chick-fil-A location on July 1. According to Gwinnett County police, Williams used a rock to break the drive-thru window and then entered the kitchen, holding a delivery driver at gunpoint. He demanded the driver open a safe or face death.
Video footage reveals the intruder leading the employee to the manager’s office. Despite not knowing the safe’s combination, the employee tried to disarm the suspect. A physical altercation ensued, with the two grappling for the gun, exchanging punches and kicks.
During the struggle, the suspect dropped his weapon but retrieved it without firing any shots. Williams eventually fled the scene before police arrived. The employee managed to remove the suspect’s mask, glasses, and hat, which were later collected as evidence. Authorities identified Williams using a vehicle they believe was involved in the crime.
Williams faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, second-degree burglary, possession of a firearm during a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and second-degree criminal damage to property.
Chick-fil-A has stated that it is fully cooperating with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation.
