Burger King has revealed plans to open 50 new restaurants in Portugal by 2025, as part of a three-year expansion initiative.
The company has already begun hiring for over 300 positions, part of an overall goal to create 1,200 new jobs. Since 2015, Burger King’s presence in Portugal has grown threefold.
In 2022, Restaurant Brands Iberia (RB Iberia) acquired Burger King from Ibersol for €260 million. Before receiving approval from the Competition Authority, RB Iberia had announced a €150 million investment to expand operations in Portugal.
Currently, the company employs 4,500 staff members, with 65% under the age of 30. The upcoming restaurant openings are expected to generate approximately 1,200 new positions, including roles such as restaurant manager, shift manager, home delivery coordinator, distributors, and operators.
