Krispy Krunchy Chicken has launched a new meal deal priced at $4, challenging major competitors like McDonald’s, Burger King, and Wendy’s.

This offer is a dollar cheaper than similar value meals from these larger fast food chains. For $4, customers can choose between two pieces of dark meat bone-in fried chicken or two hand-breaded white meat Cajun Tenders. The meal includes a side of potato wedges. Those opting for bone-in chicken can select drumsticks, thighs, or full wings seasoned with a mild Cajun spice.

The $4 meal deal is available at participating Krispy Krunchy locations from Monday to Friday, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

However, it is not offered through third-party delivery apps such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, or GrubHub.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken, which operates 2,800 locations across 47 states, is known for its Cajun marinade and custom breading. The chain prepares its chicken in small batches to ensure freshness.

Krispy Krunchy CEO Jim Norberg stated, “Value is more important than ever in today’s economy, and that’s especially true for our guests. As customers demand more value, we’re working to meet that demand without sacrificing quality.” The Krispy Krunchy deal does not include a drink, which distinguishes it from offers from larger chains.

Many fast food chains are adjusting their prices to attract customers who have been deterred by recent price increases. This summer has seen a surge in budget meal options.

In June, Burger King introduced its $5 Your Way Meal, which includes a choice of one of three sandwiches, four chicken nuggets, fries, and a soft drink. McDonald’s soon followed with a similar $5 meal deal, featuring either a McChicken or McDouble, four chicken nuggets, fries, and a drink. Initially a four-week promotion, McDonald’s has extended this offer through the summer at most locations.

Wendy’s has also joined the fray with a $3 breakfast offer and a $5 meal that resembles the deals from McDonald’s and Burger King. Additionally, Starbucks has entered the value market with a breakfast combo of coffee and food starting at $5.
