Tim Hortons Camp Day Set for July 17 with 100% of Coffee Sales Donated to Youth Camps.
ONTARIO – Tim Hortons Camp Day will return on July 17, dedicating 100% of proceeds from hot and iced coffee sales to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
The Tim Hortons Foundation Camps aim to offer life-changing opportunities for underserved youth, helping them achieve their full potential. Since its inception 50 years ago, the foundation has supported over 320,000 young people through multi-year development programs.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tim Hortons Foundation Camps this Camp Day,” said Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons. “The foundation has empowered and inspired countless deserving youth year after year.”
He added, “The opportunities at our seven Tims Camps are made possible by the support of Tims restaurant owners and guests. I encourage everyone to join us on July 17, purchase a hot or iced coffee, and make a positive impact on the lives of young people.”
Camp Day began in 1987 when 58 restaurant owners in Atlantic Canada donated a day’s sales to the Tim Horton Children’s Camp in Tatamagouche, N.S. The initiative expanded to all Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada in 1991. Last year, over $12.7 million was raised on Camp Day, contributing to a total of over $250 million since 1991.
“Camp Day is the Foundation’s most important fundraiser,” said Caroline Barham, President of Tim Hortons Foundation Camps and a Tim Hortons restaurant owner. “Thanks to the dedication of restaurant owners and guests, we can continue empowering youth and help them build the futures they envision for themselves.”
Barham expressed pride in being part of such a significant and impactful event, saying, “It’s about seeing and feeling the collective power of the Tim Hortons community, one coffee at a time.”
Former camper Brandon Hayashi shared his experience, stating, “Camp gave me the confidence to face challenges, develop lifelong friendships, and pursue my ambitions. The time I spent at Tim Hortons Foundation Camps deepened my connection to nature and fostered an appreciation for the environment that continues to inspire me. The skills I gained at camp have been crucial in my journey through medical school.”
