Chick-fil-A is set to reintroduce two fan-favorite seasonal items later this summer, delighting loyal customers who have been eagerly awaiting their return.
Earlier reports from Parade indicated that the fast food chain was experimenting with a new banana pudding-inspired frozen treat and a similar flavor for its Frosted Coffee beverages. Enthusiastic fans had expressed hopes for the return of the related milkshake.
Reliable sources now confirm that not only is Chick-fil-A’s Banana Pudding Milkshake making a comeback, but the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will also return.
Food blogger Markie_Devo announced the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday, July 2. The post revealed that both items would be back on menus by the end of next month. Fans responded with enthusiasm, flooding the comments with positive reactions.
One top comment read, “They better leave that sandwich on the menu forever,” while another exclaimed, “Banana pudding milkshake yessir .” A third fan added, “I’m loving that banana is finally getting the recognition it deserves!”
Some fans were skeptical, with one asking, “Are you sure the shake is coming back?” The influencer, who has over 100,000 followers, responded humorously, “Are you new here? .”
The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, first introduced last summer, quickly became a crowd favorite. This twist on the classic Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich features a chicken filet drizzled with honey, topped with Southern-style pimento cheese, and served on a toasted bun with pickled jalapeños.
The Banana Pudding Milkshake, which debuted about a decade ago before disappearing from menus, is described as “hand-spun the old-fashioned way, refreshing Chick-fil-A® Icedream® dessert mixed with banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles, topped off with whipped cream and a cherry.”
An insider tip shared with Markie_Devo indicated that these popular items would be available at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide starting August 26.
When asked about the Banana Pudding and other related desserts about five weeks ago, a Chick-fil-A representative told Parade they couldn’t confirm any late summer-early fall seasonal offerings at the time, but hinted that sweet news would be coming soon.
