A new McDonald’s branch is in the works for east Abbotsford, with construction currently underway at the Clayburn Centre shopping complex (3033 Immel St.). The signage for the upcoming establishment is already up, signaling its imminent arrival.
This stand-alone location will be conveniently situated next to the 7-11 and Petro-Canada building. It joins the existing McDonald’s locations in east Abbotsford at 34618 DeLair Rd., 2106 Whatcom Rd., and inside the Wal-Mart on 1812 Vedder Way.
This new addition will mark the 12th McDonald’s branch in Abbotsford, with 10 of them being stand-alone restaurants. Additionally, there are two McDonald’s branches within the city’s Wal-Mart locations. The most recent McDonald’s opening in west Abbotsford took place at the Mount Lehman Crossing shopping complex (30720 Fraser Highway) on Oct. 27, 2023.
While an exact opening date for the new McDonald’s has not yet been disclosed, anticipation is high for its debut in the east Abbotsford community.
