SALLISAW, OK — The first Whataburger restaurant in Sallisaw will open its doors on Wednesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. The new location is situated at 502 S. Kerr Boulevard.
The long-awaited opening is generating excitement in the community. To celebrate the occasion, Whataburger is offering a special treat for its first customers. The first person in each drive-thru lane and the first customer in line for the dining room will receive a Whataburger gift basket.
“Sallisaw is a wonderful community with a rich history, and we’re excited to be a part of it,” said Aaron Bradley, operating partner. “We look forward to serving great food and bringing people together at our newest location.”
The Sallisaw Whataburger will feature a full-service dining room and a 24-hour drive-thru. In the coming weeks, customers will also be able to place orders online through the Whataburger app or website, and delivery options will be available.
The restaurant has hired 95 local employees, who are referred to as “family members” in Whataburger’s company culture.
The Sallisaw location is the 16th Whataburger restaurant operated by WAB Venture Inc., which also owns locations across Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Whataburger is open 24/7, 364 days a year, and offers breakfast from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. each day, excluding Christmas Day when the restaurant is closed.
