Rudy’s Pizza is set to open its second restaurant in Nottinghamshire this summer. The popular pizzeria, already established in Nottingham’s city centre, will soon bring its Neapolitan-style pizza to West Bridgford.
The new restaurant will occupy the former Black Pearl bar on Bridgford Road, which has been vacant since January 2023. Renovations are underway to transform the space, which will feature seating for 105 customers indoors and 70 outdoor seats, just in time for warmer weather.
Rudy’s first entered Nottinghamshire in November 2023, taking over the old French Connection store on Victoria Street.
Following the success of that location, the brand is expanding its reach, offering more people in the area the chance to enjoy its renowned pizza.
The West Bridgford restaurant will add a fresh dining option to the local food scene, with a menu featuring a variety of pizzas, dips, and traditional Italian desserts. Since its debut in Manchester in 2015, Rudy’s has quickly gained a loyal following for its authentic Neapolitan pizzas made with high-quality ingredients. This new location will be the brand’s 32nd across the UK.
Rudy’s sticks to the authentic Neapolitan tradition, offering classic pizzas like Marinara, Margherita, and Calabrese, all inspired by recipes from Naples, the birthplace of pizza. The restaurant also features rotating specials, bringing creative new flavors to the menu.
The dough is made fresh daily using Caputo ‘00’ flour and ferments for at least 24 hours. The ingredients are sourced from Naples, including San Marzano tomatoes grown near Mount Vesuvius and fior di latte mozzarella. The pizzas are cooked in a Stefano Ferrara oven, following traditional methods, and bake for about 60 seconds, creating a soft, airy pizza with a raised crust.
Rudy’s also offers a well-stocked bar to complete the Neapolitan experience.
