Starbucks Teases New Summer 2025 Menu with Exciting Additions

by Nick

Starbucks is getting ready for summer 2025 with an exciting update to its seasonal menu, set to launch in May. The coffee giant has teased a few new items that will make their way to stores nationwide, along with some returning favorites.

A highlight of the upcoming menu is the Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso. While Starbucks hasn’t released full details about the drink yet, horchata is a traditional Mexican beverage made with rice, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.

The combination of these flavors with oat milk and espresso promises to be a refreshing twist for coffee lovers.

In addition, Starbucks is bringing back its popular Summer-Berry Refreshers. Last year’s favorites, the Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher and Summer Skies Drink, will return, offering customers a sweet and fruity option. These beverages are made with raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry flavors and are complemented by boba and raspberry-flavored pearls, adding a fun texture to each sip.

Starbucks is also introducing a new treat: the Strawberry & Cream Cake Pop. According to an insider post on Reddit, this new cake pop will feature strawberry cake paired with buttercream, making it a sweet and indulgent addition to the menu.

These new items come as part of Starbucks’ ongoing changes under the leadership of CEO Brian Niccol, who launched the “Back to Starbucks” strategy in 2024. This week, Starbucks also revealed plans to implement a new uniform policy for its employees.

Starting May 12, all retail employees will be required to wear solid black shirts, with the option of jeans, khaki pants, or black pants for bottoms, in addition to the signature green apron. To support this new look, Starbucks will roll out a line of branded shirts designed to create a more consistent coffeehouse experience across all locations.

The uniform change marks an update to the company’s dress code, which was last revised in 2016 to allow for more variety in clothing, including unnatural hair colors and a broader color palette. Prior to this update, Starbucks employees wore a black or white top with khaki pants and the signature green apron. The 2016 revision expanded the allowed uniform colors to include charcoal, gray, navy, and brown, along with additional materials such as leather, denim, and wool.

With the new menu and updated dress code, Starbucks is continuing to evolve and enhance its brand experience for both customers and employees alike.
