In a significant development for the local dining scene, Hamilton County is preparing to welcome its first Whataburger location. The restaurant will be situated at the former site of Wally’s Restaurant on Ringgold Road in East Ridge. This announcement comes after the City of East Ridge revealed plans for the new location, with construction expected to start soon, pending final approval from the East Ridge City Council on February 27th.
Whataburger, a beloved American fast-food chain, was founded in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Today, it operates over 1,080 locations across 16 states and is celebrating its 75th anniversary. The East Ridge location is being developed by BKW Properties, LLC, in partnership with MWB Restaurants LLC. Residents can look forward to enjoying Whataburger’s signature burgers, chicken, breakfast items, salads, and customizable menu options.
Mayor Brian Williams expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We are excited to welcome Whataburger to East Ridge. This has been an incredible project to work on over the past couple of years, and it is rewarding to see Whataburger choose East Ridge as its newest home.
This prime location will be a fantastic addition to our community and economy.”
The East Ridge Industrial Development Board has already approved the necessary development agreement, setting the stage for the final approval from the city council. Construction is slated to begin in the coming months, with Whataburger aiming for a grand opening by the end of the year.
Locals are eager about the arrival of Whataburger, which promises to bring a new dining option and enhance the area’s culinary variety.
Known for its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Whataburger is expected to deliver an exciting dining experience for both locals and visitors.
As East Ridge continues to grow, the addition of Whataburger signals a vibrant future for the community’s dining options.
Updates on the construction timeline and grand opening celebration will be shared as they become available.
