Fast Food Chain Closes Overland Park Location After Two Years in KC Market

by Nick

Beef-A-Roo, an Illinois-based fast food chain, has closed its Overland Park restaurant, marking the end of its brief presence in the Kansas City metro. The Overland Park location, situated at 9500 W. 135th St., was the chain’s only spot in the area. A sign outside the restaurant confirmed the closure, stating, “While we have enjoyed our time in your beautiful city, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to close this location. Hope to see you again soon!”

The company did not respond to requests for comment on Monday.

Beef-A-Roo, known for its roast beef sandwiches, burgers, chicken sandwiches, and cheese curds, operated in the area for less than two years. CEO Matt Riddle had expressed excitement about expanding the brand into new markets, saying, “We want to take this product that is very niche and popular… and bring it to everybody else.”
