Chick-fil-A will soon be coming to McHenry. The announcement was made by Mayor Wayne Jett during his State of the City address on Thursday.
The city has spent several years in discussions with the popular fast-food chain, Jett revealed. Construction is set to begin in March on a new Chick-fil-A location at the intersection of Route 31-Richmond Road and McCullom Lake Road, situated between U-Haul and Casey’s. The restaurant is expected to open its doors in August or September.
“It’s been a long process,” Mayor Jett explained, emphasizing the city’s effort to bring Chick-fil-A to McHenry.
