McDonald’s has opened a new CosMc’s location in Allen, North Texas, marking the seventh outlet in Texas and the fifth in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area since the brand’s debut in 2024. The new establishment, located at 861 W. Stacy Road near Crumbl and MOD Pizza, began serving customers on February 15, 2025. It will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The CosMc’s concept, which focuses primarily on beverages, features a diverse menu including coffee, lemonades, teas, slushies, and energy drinks. It also offers food items like the Egg McMuffin and M&M McFlurry. To mark its grand opening, the Allen location introduced a new line of churro-flavored drinks, including churro cold brew, churro latte, and churro shaken espresso.
Despite this new addition, McDonald’s faces challenges in the region, as three existing CosMc’s locations in Texas are slated to close. A January report revealed that half of the CosMc’s locations in the state were underperforming, prompting the closures. While McDonald’s has not disclosed which locations will shut down, the company remains committed to exploring growth opportunities within its beverage-focused brand.
