Carl’s Jr. is teaming up with social media star Alix Earle to give away free “Hangover Burgers” on February 10, the day after the Super Bowl135. The promotion, dubbed “National Hangover Day” by Carl’s Jr., is available to My Rewards members at participating restaurants.
The fast-food chain says that over 16 million Americans either missed work or were late last year due to Super Bowl celebrations. To combat the post-game slump, Carl’s Jr. is offering an upgraded Hangover Burger.
The burger includes a charbroiled beef patty, folded egg, bacon, Swiss cheese, hash browns, and special sauce on a seeded bun. Alix Earle is promoting the giveaway.
Jennifer Tate, chief marketing officer at CKE Restaurants, said they partnered with Alix Earle to offer a unique twist on their breakfast burger. Kara Gasbarro, vice president of creative at CKE Restaurants, added that Earle’s authenticity and relatable style make her a great fit for the Carl’s Jr. brand.
To get a free Hangover Burger, customers can download the Carl’s Jr. app and sign up for the My Rewards program. The offer is valid on February 10, and no purchase is necessary. Carl’s Jr. also unofficially celebrated National Hangover Day in 2024 by giving away free Western Bacon Cheeseburgers.
