Del Taco, named America’s best fast-food chain by USA Today in 2024, is expanding into Indiana with a 10-store development agreement. This marks the brand’s first entry into the Indiana market.
The new locations will be in the Indianapolis metropolitan area, including Greenwood, Plainfield, and Avon, as well as in Bloomington, Bedford, and Columbus.
The new franchisee group has experience in real estate, finance, insurance, human resources, sales, and marketing. Cole Sinclair, a member of the group, said Del Taco’s strong market position and flexible location requirements made it a good fit for Indiana. He also cited the brand’s proven business model and potential for growth.
Del Taco, founded in California in 1964, has nearly 600 restaurants in 17 states. The chain is known for its Mexican and American favorites, made with fresh ingredients. The menu includes tacos, burritos, fries, grilled chicken, carne asada steak, house-made guacamole, and Queso Blanco.
