Starbucks Japan is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a special treat: the Ruby Chocolat Symphony Frappuccino. This new beverage is part of the chain’s two-part Valentine’s Day series, continuing the “chocolate symphony” theme. The Frappuccino showcases vibrant pink hues, thanks to ruby chocolate powder, which not only adds a distinct berry-like tartness but also gives the drink its striking ruby color.
Ruby chocolate, often called the “fourth” type of chocolate, joins dark, milk, and white chocolate in the flavor lineup. The drink is topped with ruby chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and a dusting of gold powder, highlighting the pink tones and intensifying the cocoa’s bitterness. The addition of crunchy chocolate cookies provides texture, while the creamy elements offer a smooth finish. Starbucks aims to give customers a rich, flavorful experience with this Valentine’s treat.
The Ruby Chocolat Symphony Frappuccino will be available at Starbucks locations across Japan starting January 24. It will remain on the menu until February 14, along with the other two Valentine’s Day Frappuccinos, offering a chance to enjoy all three drinks. Starbucks is also rewarding its Rewards members with free digital wallpapers, one of which features a February calendar.
