Chick-fil-A has confirmed it will open its first restaurant in Shakopee, though an exact opening date has not yet been set.
The new location will be at 8100 Old Carriage Court, the site of a former Best Buy that closed in 2023. A company representative shared, “We look forward to joining the community and serving our guests delicious food with genuine hospitality and care.”
The restaurant will be a stand-alone building offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, mobile ordering, and delivery options.
Chick-fil-A expects to hire between 80 and 120 employees for the new site.
Plans include demolishing the existing Best Buy structure to make way for a new building. The space will house Chick-fil-A as well as another yet-to-be-named business. The sale of the property was first reported by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
