Plans to construct a new McDonald’s restaurant with a drive-thru in Dover have been approved.
The fast-food outlet will be located at the corner of Townwall Street and Woolcomber Street, on a site previously occupied by the former Dover Leisure Centre. The development will be built on a 1.9-acre area, currently used as a car park and vacant land.
Although the site lies just outside the main Dover Town Centre and its primary shopping area, it is in close proximity to both. The new restaurant is expected to provide a number of employment opportunities for local residents.
The McDonald’s building will measure approximately 32 meters in width, 16.5 meters in depth, and 5.9 meters in height.
The project was approved by Dover District Council on December 19.
