Portlanders eager to try Eater’s choice for the best fast-food fried chicken will soon have their chance. A new location of the Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee is currently under construction at Tanasbourne Village in Hillsboro, with representatives indicating that the grand opening is expected in early 2025. News of Jollibee‘s first Oregon location first emerged in 2022.
Founded in the Philippines in 1978, Jollibee opened its first U.S. restaurant two decades later and now operates 95 locations across North America. A brand representative expressed excitement about expanding in the Pacific Northwest, noting a recent store opening in Seattle last June. “Jollibee is delighted to bring the joy of eating to new areas like Portland and Tanasbourne,” the representative stated, adding that they look forward to welcoming both longtime fans and newcomers to experience the quality and value of dining at Jollibee.
The new restaurant will be located at 1951 NW 185th Avenue. Eater Portland has reached out to Jollibee for more details.
