Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to open its second location in Eden Prairie, Nebraska, at 9246 Hennepin Town Road on Tuesday, November 26.
This new restaurant will be situated in the northeast corner of the Preserve Village shopping center, near the intersection of Anderson Lakes Parkway and Highway 169. Notably, it will feature a drive-through pickup lane for online orders, known as a “Chipotlane,” making it the only Chipotle between Kearney and Denver.
The Eden Prairie City Council approved the construction of this new Chipotle in February. The restaurant will be the second freestanding building in the shopping center, which is anchored by Jerry’s Foods and Jerry’s Do It Best Hardware. Plans for the location include seating for 35 customers inside and an additional 16-seat patio.
Chipotle is currently hiring for this new location and others across the U.S., with about 30 job openings per restaurant.
Employees will have access to benefits such as a debt-free college degree program and mental healthcare for themselves and their families. Additionally, Chipotle offers a fundraising program where local residents can host events, with 25% of sales going to their chosen cause.
The new Chipotle will share operating hours with the existing location in Eden Prairie at 13250 Technology Drive, remaining open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Currently, Nebraska has nine locally owned and operated Chipotle restaurants, including locations in Omaha, Papillion, Bellevue, and Lincoln. The new Eden Prairie location will add to this growing network of restaurants in the state.
