Burger King India is celebrating Diwali with an innovative social media campaign that invites customers to create their own product packaging. Running from October 28 to November 1, the campaign offers participants a free Whopper in exchange for their creative designs.
The initiative, titled #BurgerKingSwaadKaPatakha, allows guests to visit a dedicated microsite. Here, they can choose from six popular Burger King items and pair them with different types of firecrackers. Using advanced AI technology, customers can design personalized packaging that combines their selected product and firecracker.
Once they’ve created their designs, participants are encouraged to share them on Instagram and other social media platforms. By tagging Burger King India and using the campaign hashtag, they will receive a free Whopper.
Kapil Grover, Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King India, expressed excitement about the campaign. “At Burger King, we always strive to enhance customer engagement. Our guests love the rich flavors of our products. With the #BurgerKingSwaadKaPatakha campaign, we are leveraging AI to provide a unique and interactive experience. This initiative not only celebrates the festive spirit of Diwali but also allows our customers to create something personal and memorable.”
Anupama Ramaswamy, Joint Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer of Havas Creative India, added, “Burger King is known for its innovation. Since Diwali represents togetherness, what better way to celebrate than inviting our fans to design their own packaging with a fun AI twist? This campaign beautifully merges culture with technology while celebrating the flavors we all love.”
The campaign kicks off with teasers on Instagram starting October 28. It will feature the unveiling of packaging designs through a series of six posts from October 28 to November 1. Customers are encouraged to participate by creating and sharing their designs across social media to receive their free Whopper.
