Sonic Drive-In is known for its innovative menu additions, and the fast-food chain has once again delivered with its new winter offerings. Following popular items like the Cheesy Bacon Sonic Stack and the Witch’s Brew Slush Float, Sonic is ready to warm up the season with fresh selections that promise comfort and indulgence.
Introducing The Double Sonic Queso Smasher
Among the standout items is the Double Sonic Queso Smasher. This burger features two smashed and seasoned Angus patties, perfectly seared for flavor. Topped with American cheese, white queso, diced onions, and crispy tortilla strips, it offers a satisfying crunch. Sliced jalapeños add a hint of heat, while a creamy Southwest sauce completes the flavor profile.
For those with a larger appetite, the burger can be upgraded to a triple.
Sweet Treats for The Season
Sonic’s winter menu also includes sweet beverages that tap into the popular “dirty soda” trend. The Buttery Brew combines root beer with caramel and sweet cream, providing a rich twist for fans of the classic drink. Meanwhile, the Sparkling Sugar Cookie Dr. Pepper is infused with caramel, sweet cream, and sugar cookie syrup, offering a festive flavor reminiscent of holiday treats.
“Winter is the season for indulgence, where memorable flavors bring us together with family and friends,” said Mackenzie Gibson, Vice President of Culinary & Menu Innovation at Sonic. “This Winter Menu captures that spirit, with savory delights like our Sonic Queso Smasher and festive drink creations that offer a comforting experience.”
Rounding out the seasonal menu is the Red Velvet Cake Batter Shake. This decadent treat blends creamy vanilla soft serve with red velvet cake batter and is topped with cream cheese whipped topping and a cherry, making it a perfect holiday dessert.
The new seasonal items will be available exclusively on the Sonic App starting October 28, followed by a nationwide rollout on November 4.
