In an industry often associated with frozen ingredients, Pizza Hut wanted to remind everyone that its pizzas are never frozen. To accomplish this, their creative agency, Publicis Middle East, humorously highlighted that even when the brand pretends to offer frozen pizzas, they truly do not.

Augusto Correia, Creative Director at Publicis Dubai, shared, “Like most people, I initially thought Pizza Hut’s dough was pre-made and frozen. We realized we needed to surprise the public to debunk this misconception.”

This frozen pizza prank is part of a larger strategy to educate consumers while emphasizing Pizza Hut’s dedication to quality. The campaign, titled ‘What’s in the Box,’ aims to inform customers about Pizza Hut’s freshly prepared dough, homemade sauce, made-to-order pizzas, and its sourcing practices.

Beverley D’Cruz, General Manager for Middle East and Pakistan at Pizza Hut, stated, “In today’s world, consumers are bombarded with information, especially regarding food quality. We wanted to engage people. This stunt showcased our commitment to freshness. Surprises capture attention, and people remember them.”
