Beloved McRib Makes a Comeback After Nearly a Decade, Along with Fresh Additions Like Mini Hash Browns and Toasted Marshmallow Latte
McDonald’s has brought back the iconic McRib to its UK menus, marking the burger’s return after almost ten years.
Originally introduced in the early 1980s, the McRib quickly became a cult favorite with its pork patty, tangy BBQ sauce, pickles, and onions. Despite being discontinued after four years, it has made several comebacks over the decades, with its last appearance in the UK in December 2014.
Fans are excited about the McRib’s return, priced at £4.49 on its own or £6.19 as part of a medium meal. However, some customers have noted a slight change, pointing out that the burger seems drier than before. A recent TikTok video revealed that staff now add BBQ sauce directly to the patty instead of dipping it, which may explain the difference in texture.
Regardless of the feedback on the McRib’s updated preparation, McDonald’s is offering more than just this nostalgic favorite. Starting October 15, customers can enjoy eight other new menu items, ranging from drinks to sides and desserts, across both the breakfast and all-day menus.
