Halton residents can now enjoy Chick-fil-A, as the chain opened its first location in Burlington over the weekend. The new restaurant is located on Appleby Line and has already received positive reviews from customers.
Many patrons praised the service and quality of food. One customer shared on Google, “Ever since trying CFA in the States, it’s been one of my favorite chicken sandwiches. My family used to travel to Pittsburgh just to buy tubs of CFA original sauce. Service was excellent at this location, even on opening day.”
Chick-fil-A first entered Canada in 2019 with a restaurant in Toronto and plans to expand to 20 locations across the country by the end of 2025. Currently, there are over 2,700 Chick-fil-A restaurants in 48 states.
The Burlington location is one of four new stores set to open in Canada by the end of 2024, with additional sites planned for Calgary, Newmarket, and Edmonton. The Burlington restaurant will employ up to 100 staff members and will offer dine-in, pick-up, and drive-thru services from 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Wesley Lyon, who helped open the Toronto location, will operate the Burlington store. To celebrate its opening, Chick-fil-A will donate approximately $34,000 to a local nonprofit organization through Second Harvest, one of Canada’s largest food rescue organizations. The restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which redistributes surplus food to local shelters and food banks.
