McDonald’s Introduces The Chicken Big Mac with Kai Cenat as Official Taste Tester

McDonald’s is set to introduce the Chicken Big Mac in the United States, with Twitch star Kai Cenat serving as the official taste tester.

The new menu item will be available at McDonald’s locations nationwide starting September 10.

Cenat, a prominent figure on Twitch known for his engaging streams, has gained immense popularity, although he recently lost his title as the platform’s most-subscribed streamer. His rise has attracted sponsorships from major brands, including a recent collaboration with T-Mobile alongside Snoop Dogg. Now, he partners with McDonald’s to showcase the Chicken Big Mac, a chicken-based twist on the classic Big Mac.

To promote this new offering, McDonald’s aims to capture “unfiltered reactions” from Cenat and his celebrity friends. Cenat announced this partnership through a video on his rapidly growing YouTube channel, where other influencers have also shared their thoughts on the sandwich.

The fast-food industry increasingly relies on influencer partnerships to connect with Gen Z consumers. This trend has led to unique meal collaborations, such as the MrBeast meal at Zaxby’s and specials inspired by Keith Lee at Chipotle.

However, McDonald’s strategy for the Chicken Big Mac goes beyond just working with Cenat. The company has also partnered with Chain, a dining venture co-founded by actor B.J. Novak, to launch a one-day pop-up event in Los Angeles called McDonell’s. This initiative aims to elevate the perception of the Chicken Big Mac, even though it remains a variation of an established fast-food favorite.

Tariq Hassan, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s USA, stated, “With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we’re excited to pay homage to one of our most iconic menu items and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans.” He emphasized that the campaign is designed to engage fans’ passions and provide enjoyable experiences leading up to the launch.

Kai Cenat has already expressed his enthusiasm for the Chicken Big Mac he helped promote. The public will have the chance to share their opinions when the item officially launches on October 10.
