BURLINGTON, Ont. — The first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Halton officially opened its doors over the weekend on Appleby Line. Customers have praised the new location for its excellent service and quality chicken, which the chain is known for in the U.S.
One customer shared their excitement on Google, stating, “Ever since trying CFA in the States, it’s been one of my favorite chicken sandwiches. My family used to travel to Pittsburgh just to buy tubs of CFA original sauce. Service was excellent at this location, even on opening day.”
Chick-fil-A first entered the Canadian market in 2019 with a restaurant in Toronto. The company plans to expand by opening 20 locations across Canada by the end of 2025. Currently, there are over 2,700 Chick-fil-A restaurants operating in 48 states.
The Burlington location is one of four new restaurants set to open in Canada by the end of 2024, with additional sites planned for Calgary, Newmarket, and Edmonton.
Expansion Plans
Chick-fil-A aims to grow its presence in Canada significantly. The chain has announced plans to open seven to ten new restaurants annually after 2025.
“Alberta has an incredible growth story and is an exciting place for us to continue our expansion in Canada,” said Paul Trotti, Chick-fil-A’s vice president of international operations.
The new Burlington restaurant joins existing locations in Toronto, Scarborough, Windsor, and Kitchener. Each new restaurant is expected to create approximately 80 to 120 jobs.
Community Engagement
Chick-fil-A emphasizes community involvement and support. Each time a new restaurant opens, the company donates $25,000 to local non-profit organizations focused on reducing hunger and food waste.
In addition to providing quality food, Chick-fil-A also participates in initiatives like the Shared Table program, which redistributes surplus food from restaurants to local shelters and food banks.
As Chick-fil-A continues its growth across Canada, it remains committed to serving delicious food while positively impacting the communities it enters.
