MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Oct. 8, 2024) — A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is set to open in Montgomery on Thursday, October 10, 2024. The restaurant, located at 8090 Vaughn Road, will be operated by Gary Soriano, who has been selected as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator.
The Chick-fil-A Taylor & Vaughn will serve customers from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. It will offer dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out options, and a Mobile Thru lane for customers who place orders through the Chick-fil-A app. The restaurant will also feature a playground for families with children.
Chick-fil-A Taylor & Vaughn joins over nine other locations serving the Montgomery-Selma market.
Local Ownership And Community Focus
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model allows for local ownership, meaning that Soriano will actively manage the restaurant alongside his team. He plans to hire around 100 full- and part-time employees and focus on building relationships with local organizations.
Soriano began his career with Chick-fil-A in 1977 as a Team Member in Montgomery. He later became the Owner-Operator of a Chick-fil-A in Auburn, Alabama, in 1983. After nearly a decade of successful leadership there, he returned to Montgomery in 1992 and has since operated multiple locations.
“We are humbled by the opportunity to reach even more people in this community,” Soriano said. “Our team looks forward to bringing delicious food and community connection to Chick-fil-A Taylor & Vaughn.”
Commitment to Community Service
Chick-fil-A prioritizes giving back to local communities. In celebration of the new restaurant opening, the company has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to help combat hunger in the Montgomery area.
Soriano’s restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redistributes surplus food to local shelters and food banks. To date, this program has provided over 30 million meals across more than 2,200 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Additionally, the restaurant will honor 100 local heroes by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Investing in Team Members
Chick-fil-A focuses on hiring and developing talent within its restaurants. Employees receive hands-on training, competitive pay, scholarships for education, and opportunities for personal growth.
Soriano himself benefited from a Chick-fil-A scholarship during his college years. Over the years, his restaurants have awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to Team Members pursuing higher education.
Quality Food And Customer Experience
Chick-fil-A is known for its welcoming atmosphere and high-quality food. The original Chick-fil-A® Chicken Sandwich is made with whole chicken breast and cooked in fully refined peanut oil. Fresh produce is delivered up to six times a week to ensure quality.
Customers can order through various methods including pickup, dine-in, drive-thru, or via the Chick-fil-A app. Members of the Chick-fil-A One® program earn points on purchases that can be redeemed for rewards.
