Taco Bell Tests New Menu Items: Caliente Cantina Chicken Burrito And Aguas Refrescas

by Nick

Taco Bell is set to test new menu items starting Thursday, including the Caliente Cantina Chicken Burrito in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Strawberry Passionfruit Aguas Refrescas in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Caliente Cantina Chicken Burrito, priced at $5.99, features a new Caliente Sauce made from red pepper, red jalapeño pepper, and ghost chile pepper. This burrito is part of Taco Bell’s recently launched Cantina Chicken Menu, which debuted nationwide in March. The menu aims to cater to Americans’ growing preference for chicken dishes, offering a variety of items such as burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and a Cantina Chicken Bowl.

In Charlotte, customers can try the Strawberry Passionfruit Aguas Refrescas for $3.99. This refreshing drink combines strawberry passionfruit and dehydrated strawberry pieces in a 20-ounce cup. Earlier this year, Taco Bell tested fruit-infused Aguas Refrescas in Southern California with flavors like Peach Mango and Dragonfruit Berry.

Originally conceived from an idea for a Cheez-It taco, the Cheez-It Crunchwrap combines Taco Bell’s popular menu item with the iconic cheesy cracker. Customers can also purchase a Big Cheez-It a la carte for $1.00 or enjoy the Big Cheez-It Tostada for $2.99. A Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Combo will be available for $9.99 and includes a Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme, a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Nacho Fries, and a medium fountain drink.

New Hot Sauce Collaboration with Omar Apollo

In addition to these new menu items, Taco Bell has partnered with Mexican-American musician Omar Apollo to launch Disha Hot Hot Sauce. Based on Apollo’s family recipe, the sauce features toasted tomatillos, white vinegar, tomatoes, onions, peppers, lime juice, and a secret spice blend. Each sauce packet is priced at 20 cents.

For $8.99, customers can order the Disha Hot Discovery Box. This box includes three sauce packets along with a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, a Crunchy Taco, a Doritos Locos Taco, chips with nacho cheese, and a medium fountain drink.

With these exciting new offerings and collaborations, Taco Bell continues to innovate and expand its menu to attract customers.
